Frequently Asked Questions


1   When I click on FORMS, it doesn't take you anywhere.
    When links are added or changed you may have to "refresh" the page to activate them.
2   I get a "Page Can't be Displayed" or other error message when I attempt to view a report.
    The child's profile must be complete, 30 benchmarks reported, for the Profile to print.  This is true also when you start a new reporting cycle, each of the Profiles must be complete.
3   I need to correct either my class list or my teacher list, how do I do that?
    At present, data changes (delete records, change teacher, etc.) can only be made by the system administrator.  Please email the CTPAF Support Team to request those changes.
4   How do I remove the header and footer lines that appear when I print a profile.
    The header-footer lines are controlled by your computer.  With the page open that you wish to print, pull down the File menu (upper left corner of screen) and select page set up.  Delete the header and footer commands.  This will effect all web pages that you print from that computer.

 

If you deleted the commands from the header and footer, here is a typical example: Header: &u&b&d and Footer: &w&bPage &p of &P

5   When I print a Profile, the text is cut off at the right side and/or bottom.
    The margins are controlled by your computer.  With the page open that you wish to print, pull down the File menu (upper left corner of screen) and select page set up.  Change the margins for Top, Bottom, Left and Right to .25 inches. This should stay at this setting during the time until you Exit/Quit your Internet browser. You will probably need to make this change again when you restart.

 

Each printer model has different capabilities, so you might have a printer problem at work, but not at home. Furthermore, the Internet Browser and version you are using (MS Internet Explorer, FireFox, Safari), may effect way the page prints.

6   The background shading in the columns of the Profile does not print.
    The shading is considered a background color. If there is an option to print the background, then just choose that option. If you don't find this option, you need to download the free Firefox internet browser. By using Firefox you’ll be given the option to print background colors. But you’ll need to view www.ctpaf.org in Firefox to have this option. Click here to download Firefox.
